Have you ever heard about a Brandy Flip? If you have not, then you are in for a pleasant surprise. This concoction is for brandy lovers and is easy to make.
What is Brandy? The simple definition, according to the Oxford Dictionary, is ” a strong alcoholic spirit distilled from wine or fermented fruit juice”. The more detailed explanation of what Brandy is claims that it derives it’s name from the Dutch word “brandewijn” which means “burned wine”. Most brandy is consumed mostly as a cocktail but is also a popular cooking ingredient.
There are many brands of Brandy and as expected price runs the spectrum. Unlike other alcoholic beverages, this ingredient should not be selected based on price alone. In this instance price does matter as the better blends will result in a more enjoyable cocktail.

1 ½ oz. Brandy
½ oz. Egg White
1 oz. Simple Syrup
Shake well with crushed ice.
